Barrister Abdullah M Rafiqul Islam is the Head of Advocare Law International
and is a practising lawyer in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He has
considerable knowledge and experience in various areas of law, including
Civil, Criminal, Writ, Company, Commercial, Banking and Finance, Securities
and Exchange, Intellectual Property, Immigration, Employment, Human
Rights, Arbitration and Maritime law. He is also experienced in negotiations
and advocacy with both statutory and non-statutory bodies. Barrister Islam is
involved with both English and Bangladeshi law. He was afforded exceptional
training by a reputable UK organisation in various areas of law.
Barrister Islam has considerable experience in practising/working in multi-
jurisdictions, which has given him an insight into better understanding and
dealing with matters concerning corporate and commercial sectors,
international trade and finance, intellectual property, admiralty, white collar
crime and human rights from an international perspective. He also has
considerable experience and expertise in both domestic and International
Arbitration. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
Barrister Islam was a Panel Lawyer/Legal Adviser for the Bangladesh
Securities and Exchange Commission and many multinational companies
operating in Bangladesh. Mr. Islam is also a member of various professional
bodies, including the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association, Dhaka Bar
Association, Barristers Association of Bangladesh, etc.
